The $95 ‘Program Fee’ is a fee charged to each day camper in order to cover a portion of his or her expenses. There is approximately $150 of program expense for each week of day camp for each day camper that is not reimbursable through the Level One, Individual Options, and Self Waivers. This expense is comprised of several items such as non-direct care staff (including lifeguards, high ropes instructors, and nurses), supplies (such as daily arts/crafts projects, journals, first aid equipment) and the daily lunches and snacks. Scholarship funds may be available to cover the program fee for qualifying campers.

Fees and Funding
The 2023 Summer Day Camp published rate at this time is $355.00 per week (may change due to camper’s individualized needs), plus if the registration and application is completed online, a one-time, annual registration fee of $35 will be required. If you prefer to fill out and mail in a paper registration and application, a one-time, annual registration fee of $45 will be required.
Campers may qualify for financial assistance from county or state agencies, or local service organizations. Level One Waiver, Individual Options Waiver and SELF Waiver may also be used to pay your camp fees. Please contact your service coordinator to have camp fees added to your Individual Service Plan. Otherwise, contact the relevant government agency or local service organization for specific funding information. Due to the decreased amount of reimbursement rates for Level One, Individual Options, and SELF Waivers, Recreation Unlimited is no longer able to absorb all of the costs that have never been covered by the waivers. As such, campers using a waiver to pay for camp will be responsible for a Program Fee of $95.00. Scholarship funding for the program fee may be available.
Acceptance to camp is based on review and approval of the camper application, physical form completed and signed by your physician, and camp capacities. Level One Waiver, Individual Options Waiver, Self Waiver and Family Resources money cannot be used to pay the one-time, annual registration fee of $35/$45.
