Billing Information For
Individual Options Waiver,
SELF Waiver and
Level One Waiver
If you have a camper who is using the Individual Options Waiver, SELF Waiver, or Level One Waiver and to fund a Summer or Winter Residential weeklong camp, please be advised that Recreation Unlimited will bill four (4) full day Community Respite units (ARN for Individual Options Waiver, FRN for Level One Waiver, SRN for SELF Waiver) per weeklong camp, plus a $200 program fee that includes arts, craft, science, and other program supplies, sports equipment, program leaders, program instructors and other recreational materials and equipment, which is not a billable waiver service and is the responsibility of each individual camper to pay. Scholarship funds may be available to cover the program fee for qualifying campers. Please contact Lauren Ganson or Natalie Hutton with questions regarding your camper’s scheduled attendance at Recreation Unlimited.

and complete a camper application.

Seven Weeks of Summer Residential Camp and one week of Winter Residential Camp Offered
Summer Residential Camps are for youth and adults with developmental and/or physical disabilities and health concerns. There are two weeklong camps for youth (ages 8-22), one weeklong camp for youth and young adults (ages 15-35), and four weeklong camps for adults (ages 23 & up). In addition, there is one weeklong Winter Residential Camp for young adults and adults (ages 18 & up) with developmental and/or physical disabilities. Recreation Unlimited is a smoke free campus.
Recreation Unlimited’s Summer and Winter Residential Camps provide a full schedule of activities, lodging, meals and snacks, counselors, program leaders, on-site nursing and a great environment for fun! Examples of program activities during the summer are swimming, fishing, canoeing, climbing, sports, archery, creekin’, nature exploration, arts and crafts, cooking, theater, campfire, dancing and more!
A fully equipped Health Services Center and Nurses Quarters with a team of nurses that administer all camper medications and medical treatments are provided. All meals and snacks are provided with healthy choices available. Special diets can be accommodated. Items such as Recreation Unlimited sweatshirts and t-shirts are available at the camp store for purchase that enables the campers to go home with a souvenir from camp.
Camper check-in will be on Monday between 10:00 a.m. and 11:00 a.m. Camper departure time is Friday between 10:00 a.m. and 11:00 a.m.
Fees and Funding
Based on the Ohio Department of Developmental Disabilities reimbursement schedule for Medicaid Waivers, the Summer Residential and Winter Residential Camp published fee is currently $1,145, plus if the registration and application is completed online, a one-time, annual registration fee of $35 will be required. If you prefer to fill out and mail in a paper registration and application, a one-time, annual registration fee of $45 will be required.
Recreation Unlimited is an Individual Options Waiver, Level One Waiver, and SELF Waiver provider, please contact your service coordinator and submit a request for service prior to coming to camp so that camp fees may be part of your service plan.
Scholarships to assist with Summer and Winter Residential Camp fees are available based on request and individual need.
In addition, campers may qualify for financial assistance from county or State agencies. Specific qualifications can be obtained by contacting your service coordinator or relevant government agency.
Registration
Acceptance to camp is based on review and approval of the camper application, physical form completed and signed by your physician, and camp capacities.
Individual Options Waiver, Level One Waiver, SELF Waiver and Family Resources money cannot be used to pay the one-time, annual registration fee of $35/$45.
